A Living Witness Luke 24:48 You are witnesses of these things.

 

There are three invitations that are given to us from Jesus in the scriptures for the purpose of equipping us to be living witness:

 

• Come and ( See      ) – John 1:39

 

• Come and (   Follow  ) – Matthew 4:19

 

• Come and  (  Go    ) –  Matthew 28;18- 20; Acts 1:4

 

LIFE’S MISSION: TO LEAD PEOPLE TO BECOME FULLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST.

It was (God    ) who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of ministry… Ephesians 4:11-12a

GOD DOESN’T CALL THE PREPARED, BUT HE PREPARES THE CALLED.  Acts 4:13

Who were these men?

What didn’t they have?

What did they have?

 

Living as a Witness Requires:

We have a (   Story   ) to Share – 

• God’s story of salvation – Romans 5:8; John 3:16,17. 
• What about your personal story? Where did you come from; come through?
• Where are you trying to go?

We have a ( sacrifice        ) to bring.   Romans 12:1, 2.

• Worship through giving God (      ourselves   )
• Worship through giving God reverence – Psalm 121
• Worship through Giving to God through stewardship

 

We have a (  surrender       ) to show. Luke 5:8

• Have I surrendered my ALL to Him?
• Have I preferred others before myself?
• Have I seen greater progress and development in me?

 

We Have a (Serious      ) Commission to fulfill –  Acts 5:38,39

• If what we do is just about us, it will (   fail     )
• If what we do is about God, it will be (  Unstoppable     )
