What is Spiritual Laziness?

1. It is the tendency to drift away from the priorities that God clearly (outlines          ) for us in His Word.

2. Lazy literally means (slow          ) to learn. Hebrews 5:11

3. If we are lazy, we need a (push           ).

 

Spiritual Priorities

  1. Paying careful attention to (God’s         ) Word. 2:1
  2. (Listening           ) to the Holy Spirit in our lives. 3:7-4:13
  3. The pursuit of Christ’s (rich               ) reward for work well done. 4:1-13
  4.  Coming boldly and regularly to God in (prayer              ). 4:14-16
  5. Faithfully (serving           ) others in the Body of Christ. 6:10
  6.  Remaining connected to the (local               ) church.

How Do I Overcome Spiritual Laziness?

 

4. If you are going to overcome Spiritual Laziness, you need to recognize what is at

(stake               ).

 

  1. Pay careful (attention          ).

Enter God’s (rest            ).

 

c. Go on to (immaturity             ).

d. Draw near, don’t give (up           ).  10:19-30

e. Don’t turn (away               ). 12:14-29

 

What Are My Consequences If I Stay Spiritually Lazy?

 

  1. Won’t (escape             ). 2:1-4
  2. Won’t enter God’s (rest                  ). 3:1-4:16
  3. Stuck in (immaturity                ). 5:11-6:20
  4. (God’s            ) judgment. 10:19-30
  5. Loss of (inheritance              ). 12:14-29  (Don’t be a sellout like Esau)

 

Salvation

 

  1. Means to (WORK             )! Ephesians 2:8-10
  2. Our Love for God is seen in our love for God’s (people          ). Hebrews 6:10
  3. God does not (look             ) away …what you do or don’t do!

He will (reward           ) me! Colossians 3:23-23
